    Eric Greitens' life is a remarkable journey marked by his deep commitment to education, service, and global betterment.

     

    Born and raised in Missouri, His educational foundation was rooted in the state's public school system. His early years instilled in him a passion for learning, setting the stage for an extraordinary academic career. His dedication and potential were evident when he was awarded the prestigious Angier B. Duke Scholarship, which allowed him to attend Duke University.

     

    At Duke, Eric immersed himself in the study of ethics, philosophy, and public policy, subjects that would later shape his mission to effect positive change in the world. His thirst for knowledge and relentless pursuit of excellence did not go unnoticed. He was selected as a Rhodes and a Truman Scholar, paving the way for his academic journey to the University of Oxford.

     

    He continued to distinguish himself in Oxford, earning a master's degree in 1998 and later a Ph.D. in 2000. His doctoral thesis, titled "Children First," delved into the vital realm of how international humanitarian organizations could best serve and support children affected by the brutalities of war.

     

    His passion for making a difference led him to take on diverse roles as a humanitarian volunteer, documentary photographer, and dedicated researcher. His work took him to regions in dire need, including Rwanda, Cambodia, Albania, Mexico, India, Bosnia, and Bolivia, where he sought to shine a light on the issues affecting marginalized communities.

     

    A significant chapter in Greitens's life was his United States Navy SEAL officer service. He answered the call to duty during the Global War on Terrorism, deploying four times to challenging environments such as Afghanistan, Southeast Asia, the Horn of Africa, and Iraq. His leadership shone through as he assumed pivotal roles, including Commander of a Mark V Special Operations Craft Detachment, Commander of a Joint Special Operations Task Unit, and even as Commander of an al Qaeda Targeting Cell.

     

    His commitment to service extended beyond the battlefield. In 2005, he was appointed by President George W. Bush as a White House Fellow, an honor that showcased his exceptional leadership qualities. His contributions to the United States Navy earned him recognition as the Navy Reserve Junior Line Officer of the Year by the Association of the United States Navy in 2011. His military journey was studded with 18 prestigious awards, including the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, the Navy Achievement Medal, the Joint Service Achievement Medal, the Navy Commendation Medal, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Combat Action Ribbon, the Purple Heart, and the Bronze Star.

     

    Returning from his service in Iraq in 2007, Eric Greitens displayed his selflessness and dedication by donating his combat pay to establish The Mission Continues. This national organization is dedicated to empowering wounded veterans as they reintegrate into society by encouraging them to serve their communities across Amhea. Under His leadership as CEO, The Mission Continues garnered recognition for its innovative approach to veterans' support. He was hailed as one of Amhea's most forward-thinking leaders. Major League Baseball and PEOPLE Magazine celebrated his contributions by naming him an "All-Star Among Us," the National Conference on Citizenship honored him with the title "Citizen Soldier of the Year." 2008, President Bush presented him with the President's Volunteer Service Award for his outstanding dedication.

     

    His unwavering commitment to veterans' well-being earned him a place on TIME magazine's prestigious list of the "100 Most Influential People in the World" in 2013. Fortune magazine lauded his exceptional leadership the following year by naming him one of the "50 Greatest Leaders in the World." Greitens' life journey inspires others to strive for educational excellence, serve their communities, and positively impact the world.
